What Jarrean said, plus some more in WIP. Good luck, sly! This was a fun read.

There's also a user Christopher.m.slavin who introduced himself as an army vet a couple of months ago and might be able to help you.

  11. Do any of you writers use outlining software, or do you typically just stick with Word?

I'd recommend Trello if you like using cards. Really easy to move stuff around and add metadata. Doesn't hurt that there's a phone app as well.

  13. Nice freelance piece about the brutal world of a struggling writer. Haven't seen any of his films but I do respect the man. http://badassdigest.com/2015/03/02/from-hollywood-to-homeless-the-writer-of-jason-x-and-drive-angry-on-screenw/

  17. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate this forum. And yes - I have been drinking :)

  18. 2014 Hit List Recommendation: Remember by Benjamin August. It's slow and understated, but worth the journey.

  19. Unbroken. So bloody disappointing. To me what's most compelling about Zamperini's story is his act of forgiveness. You pack that into an endnote? That should've been the story, IMO, with his POW experience in flashback or something. Feel like this movie missed the point entirely. So disappointed. And a little angry.

  20. I'm not always the biggest Bradley Cooper fan, but he was terrific in American Sniper.

  21. Happy Holidays to one and all. Just like to say this consistently stays a great resource. Thanks to all the contributors - Hit List, Black List, FYC scripts, old scripts, spec scripts, TV scripts. Just great. Thank you. Now make sure you read some of the scripts instead of just having a million of them. So much to learn. Never give up on your writing dreams. Never ever.
