  1. Anyone know when Fox Writers Initiative opens for submissions? The site still has information on last year's round: http://www.fox.com/diversity/creative/writer_submission.htm

I'm quite interested in this as well. Anyone?

Why would any writer support or want to work for Fox after what they're doing to PJ??

You have a point. Completely slipped my mind! Sorry if I offended anyone.

  2. Anybody submitting (or has submitted) TV scripts to Scriptapalooza or Script Pipeline competitions? Just curious what other people's experiences have been...

I sent a spec to Scriptapalooza last competition. I have nothing bad to say about them, although if you look at the winners list, many semifinalists all specced the same shows.

I am a former Sciptapalooza TV semi-finalist. It is good to have on your CV since people know it. But it isn't like I had offers pouring in after or anything. So it's cool and legit -- but the floodgates wont open if you place.

  3. Just posted important question regarding CBS Writers Mentoring Program application in the "Looking For" forum. Big thanks in advance to whoever can answer it. :)

I really hope it's pitched as "Die Hard in a Parade"

Fantastic article. Thanks for pointing it out. Original ideas and original scripts are getting harder to find, but they're out there.

This seems to be the same argument rehashed again and again, year after year. It's always easy to say the good stuff isn't being made but if that's the case, show me! Show me the brilliant script that should have been bought but wasn't, the movie that should have been made but wasn't. I get that it is a struggle to get good movies made but it's a struggle to get any movie made. At the end of the day, Inception was still made.

Dude great article, thanks a ton for pointing it out.

  5. No problem. Hope you enjoy.

  6. I should've seen Tom Hardy as Bane coming. I trust this version of the character will have more depth than the Banes in the cartoons, video games, and Schumacher film. Looking forward to it.

  7. No problem. Let me know what you think. Wasn't a fan of the script, personally, so I wasn't surprised this didn't move forward.
