  2. Thank God NBC cancelled The Paul Reiser Show, that was some of the worst shit I've ever seen.

  3. Thank God the Star Wars people are smart and got Michael Arndt on board. I was hoping they got Pixar involved with the story.

Will be really interesting to see who they put into the director's chair. Doubt that JJ will get to be the man behind this generation's Trek AND Star Wars. But who knows?

It's a shame that Peter Jackson is busy and Spielberg has ruled himself out.

They're the ideal candidates, in my opinion.

There is so much baggage attached that the only real choice would be David Lynch.

  4. Thanks for the Justified Scripts!

  11. What are the best competitions for original television pilots besides AFF?

  12. what are the chances of The Chicago Code getting renewed? Love the show, just heard rumblings that it's underperforming in Fox's eyes.

It's great - I think they sexed it up big time to appease the True Blood, Fantasy, Fan Boy loving audience it's meant for. The women I spoke to who watched it said it did objectify women - but hey, it's the dark/middle ages right? ;-p

ehn. a mile wide, an inch deep. maybe i was spoiled by DEADWOOD, ROME, and the SOPRANOS or maybe it just needs time (like those shows did).

  14. Who do I have to bribe to get my hands on the Hobgoblin pilot.

Yikes! In my Mom's house everything is done from scratch. I surprised we all don't gain fifteen pounds after the holidays.

Opine, no amount of butter and sugar can make a potato tortilla taste good. I grabbed Chinese food after their crap feast to make up for it.

  17. Will be attending a Black Swan screening in Austin today, I can't wait. I'll let you know what I think about it tomorrow.

It was pretty amazing actually. made my wife cry like a baby, but then again she was a dance instructor, so has an attachment to the story. I thought it built up really well, and had a great unsentimental ending. Reminded me of Rupulsion in many ways.

  18. Wow, Moonrise Kingdom bored me to tears. I can't be the only one, right?

Me neither. I really hated Royal Tenebaums when I watched it all those years ago. I simply do understand the acclaim it got. But I have to admit, I was a really big fan The Fantastic Mr. Fox and though he adapted it impressively.

    3. ... who are those guys?

      ... who are those guys?

With the exception of Steve Zisou and Darjeeling, I'm a huge fan. I just saw Moonrise last night and I loved it. Having said that I can understand how someone could easily tire of his style. If it doesn't work for you from the start, it ain't gonna get any better.

I'm a huge WA fan and I have to admit I thought the pacing was particularly, almost perversely glacial. But it has wonderful moments and comes together in the end, I think.
