Me neither. I really hated Royal Tenebaums when I watched it all those years ago. I simply do understand the acclaim it got. But I have to admit, I was a really big fan The Fantastic Mr. Fox and though he adapted it impressively.
With the exception of Steve Zisou and Darjeeling, I'm a huge fan. I just saw Moonrise last night and I loved it. Having said that I can understand how someone could easily tire of his style. If it doesn't work for you from the start, it ain't gonna get any better.
I'm a huge WA fan and I have to admit I thought the pacing was particularly, almost perversely glacial. But it has wonderful moments and comes together in the end, I think.
