  1. Hey Hive Mind. I'm doing some research and I'm looking for your favorite movies where two or more lovable lugs go on the run from the mob, the government, other baddies after they either a) unknowingly fuck something up B) get embroiled in a plot unwittingly or c) steal from said bad guys or government... What are some of your favorite "on the run" movies? Thanks--MP

Big fan of Midnight Run myself, but I'm surprised that Some Like It Hot hasn't come up yet.

  3. Ronald Moore's bible for Battlestar Gallactica is nothing short of "frakking" genius. If anybody is looking to see what it takes to write a series, do yourself a favor and read that TV Bible... it's outstanding. I keep re-reading it and I learn something new every time

  5. What's the best dramatic TV Pilot Outline you've read or seen? I loved the original Freaks and Geeks outline and the Veronica Mars one... what about you?

Maybe not the best, but I'm reading Hannibal right now. It's pretty good.

The bible for The Wire is posted here on TB. Pretty good example.

  6. I highly recommend the Steve Kessler documentary "Paul Williams: Still Alive” ... awesome. Paul Williams wrote some of the biggest hits in the 70s, appeared on Carson, was in Planet of the Apes... amazing story. Funny and heartwarming

Great - got some nice deadlines being set via the chat room - the TB (unofficial) Writers' Group is gonna kill it this year. Right?

Learning how to take criticism in the new year. It's tough, but I'm getting the hang of letting other people check out my writing. It's gonna be a great year!

going to outline the action thriller I'm currently working on and put it aside because it's not quite right yet and get to work on a horror thriller with some interesting psychosexual and gothic overtones...and also work on tv stuff (a spec and a couple of pilots)

  8. This Man of Steel Trailer is AWESOME. So excited for next Summer! http://www.tracking-board.com/man-of-steel-trailer-2-henry-cavill-diane-lane-russell-crowe/

  10. Kind of enjoying this rainy weather in LaLa Land. Reminds me of fall/winter in Chicago.... now I just need to find a pile of leaves to jump in when it's dry again ;-)

  11. Just got married last week y'all and started a writing fellowship this week... life is good... how are you?

  12. Very happy to be part of the "Super Six" for 'TB Recommends' -- still getting reads on Nexxus and working on some new projects. Hopefully new reps will be part of the future. I love this site and everybody's honest feedback and support! Viva la TB!

  13. Hey all. Lots have asked how my Nexxus Pilot is going after TB Recommends. I just did a minor rewrite for a management company (who sent it to a big 3 agency) and I am in wait and see mode. The file on the file exchange is the one originally sent to TB, it has since been updated(Grammar, plot point or two, etc.) and is much more clean. But, I am in wait-n-see mode. All the initial hub but was huge. Now, I anxiously await next steps. Shout out to TB for recommending me. Will keep u posted.

It'd be great to get all the TB recommends guys to maybe start a post in the forum somewhere to talk about their experiences, etc. Could be kind of cool.
