      Ugh, cut off. Anyway, last season I was hinging on every episode ending and could not wait for next week. But this season, after the first few episodes, I've found that I'm just watching it whenever I can, because I want to see how it ends. Now that it's finally heating up though I'm def. getting more excited, even despite my issues. The tension is still amazing.

      The largest dramatic conflict of the entire 5th season is built around the the idea that Hank and Marie would develop some kind of venemous hatred for Walt and Skyler and want to take them down when they found out Walt was Heisenberg. The previous four seasons just didn't provide the foundations for that. It feels forced, and I'm definitely not the only one who thinks so. Jesse's character is baffling, Walt has seemingly become incompetent. The first half of this season felt someh...

      part of it might be the writers are smart but are just trying way too hard. i remember when the ricin stuff first was introduced and thinking they made that whole thread waaaay more complicated than it ever needed to be.

      haha... overall, yes. I meant in terms of character stuff mostly though. feels some of the character lines and dramatic conflicts this season (not that earlier seasons were absolutely perfect) are being forced and/or don't always make very much sense.

      true, season 4 was def. a high point of television history even. but there has been a lot of stuff with the writing this season that bugged me. overall, the show just doesn't feel as organic and fluid and realistic to me as it has in the past.
