Best companies to pitch biopics?

Can anyone recommend an amazing Western script of the last 2-3 years that has thus far gone unproduced? It's fine if it sold, but looking for something unproduced. Best of the best only. Thanks.

While it's certainly not for everybody, I found myself absolutely blown away by Blue is the Warmest Color. The storytelling and dialogue felt raw and unfiltered and the actresses were both great. Highly recommend.

Wow, Snowpiercer really blew me away. One of the best sci-fi movies I've seen in years.

Holland, Michigan and Bone Tomahawk: The writing is everything for both of these screenplays. I can't wait to see *BOTH* of these movies at the theater later this year/next year.

Congrats on the TB Rec CB! All the best going forward - can't wait to see where this goes!

Even if you're not a fan of biopics, this one looks like it has a story worth telling

What is the best Drama, Thriller or Action spec that you have read recently, that is still available?

What's the deal with OWAs? Can someone explain?
-
From my experience, you do get knocked around a bit at first when pitching for OWAs. Until you are produced or sold and already established, you basically are doing a lot of work for free and probably getting your best ideas copped with no chance of actually getting the job unless you are just phenomenal.
But it's good practice either way.

This biopic trend is really wearing me out.

I posted a book I just finished a rewrite on in WIP. Details are there. Would love some opinions before making any moves.

Anyone seen Philomena? It's the only Best Picture nominee I haven't seen yet. Worth the price of admission?
