  1. Really hoping Kristen gets a hold of Our Name is Adam... TC knows how to pick great projects

  2. Researching how the neocortex works... YouTube is a lifesaver. Books are hard to grasp without additional lectures.

  4. Rewriting the King James Bible into the science-fiction epic it should be...

The bible isn't believable enough to be science fiction.

  5. Saw Jurassic World then went home to rewatch Jurassic Park... JW almost ruined my childhood nostalgia with its conservative ideology

Were the characters really that great in the first one either?

Comparatively they are better in the original - more developed at least. Actors with more experience helped the original too.

Agreed, I was really annoyed that the movie is nothing more than pushing an anti-gay-marriage agenda by dinosaurical allegory.

  6. Somebody bring on Saturday already. I'm too tired to write before then.

  7. Sticky notes are much kinder to my walls than blu-tac. . . .

  8. TDKR was interesting. Not saying any more than that.

I'll just say it - Bane is boring.

Liked it more than I didn't. Thought Bane was fantastic, undermined only by Nolan's treatment of him in the closing moments of the story. And couldn't help shake the feeling the entire time that Nolan's heart wasn't into this 100%. Felt like the cinematic equivalent of an A student hurriedly finishing an assignment the morning-of knowing that he could get a B+ by just slumming it.

  9. Too many badly written assignments to cover, I gotta read something great tonight.

Typing out Michael Crichton's JP novel at the moment. Want to know the word count for each iteration before breaking it all down further.

Moleskine and Bic. People's tech never works. I'm not sure if it's the drinking or the wireless reception.

I'd like a Legendary Sweatshirt. Top Film Festivals should have some really nice swag.

  14. Why did "I, Frankenstein" get made? Even the casting is questionable

Yeah - I'm hyped too for Exodus. It's really good and I've been on a real Bible kick for the last year. So much terrific religious-osity out there these days...

      Hey Half,

Went to a presentation of the film with an Australian film group. The film exposed a lot of Australian actors as well as the versatility of the SFX companies that are out there. Half of the budget was paid for with Australian taxes and there were a few other good reasons I can't think of right now.

To be honest, in IMax 3d, I didn't hate it at all. It was actually really cool in the moment watching with the writer/director who is a great guy.

Thanks for the perspective, Charlie :) Didn't even know it was Aussie. The trailer oversold for me I think.

  15. Wishing Bat for Lashes' Natasha Khan dabbled in screenwriting. . . .

  16. Writing a manuscript (sci-fi prose) for fun. . . What kind of guy finds ~160,000 words fun? I should be institutionalised.
