  1. Best figures one can find suggests the WGA registers over 70,000 pieces of material each year. That translates into 70,000 query letters/E Mails, 70,000 screenplay competition applications, etc. Remember that when crafting your script and wondering if it needs another rewrite. Because the answer is: yes.

Or you could sacrifice a Writer's Store employee to the Great God of Arbitrary. Probably more productive.

I don't see how one option has to negate the other.

  2. Like to thank The Tracking Board for their coverage services and making my spec, MARROW, one of their recommended scripts in April. Even though I felt the script was solid, their coverage pointed out things I had not considered and it helped make it even better. Thanks again!

AND I'd like to thank the Academy for giving us awards shows that teach us there is no such thing as too little fabric in a women's dresses.

  4. Glad to see DISCIPLE PROGRAM sell. Tyler deserved it. While it was overwritten, it was still well written overall. Kudos.

  5. FIVE AGAINST THE BULLET sounds an awful lot like Johnny To's THE MISSION (1999)

Yeah, from what I hear now, 5 grew out of the original remake for "Mission" but changed so much over the rewrites that it became a new project... albeit with the same basic plotlines. It's a ton of fun as a read, and is always on my recommend list.
