  5. S. Craig Zahler just had UTA send me Raw Knuckles, Gray Glass 1&2, The Discomfiture of Aldon Withers, and Corpus Chrome, INC. (unpublished novel). I can't say enough about his kindness and sincerity. It's been great chatting with him lately.

Nope. They're not for share. Sorry.

  6. Went to a PGA Screening of BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD. One word: Wow! Brilliantly touching, yet completely unorthodox film -- with great acting from completely untrained civilians. See it next week. Well worth the price of admission. I put my rep on that...

i can't wait to see this...next to The Dark Knight Rises and a few other movies, this is high on my list of films to watch. And, it should come to my town since Pittsburgh does support indie films and we have smaller indie theatres to show it in. :)

  7. Latest script is in the can...time to get this financing baby!

Thanks for all the input guys...

I'm either off to Miami or a private bungalow in the Hollywood Hills...7 days of nonstop writing...then going to Goldeneye (Jamaica) for a week, top of May, to unwind. THEN get busy on my first draft...

Just finished reading this and I have to +1 all the positivity above. Such specific writing choices that I'm curious, did you write this to direct yourself, dietgreentea?

Just curious, Prospekt, because my usual complaint re: trailers is that they tell us TOO MUCH of the story. I want the trailer to entice, not spoil. What amount of story are you looking for from a trailer?

perfect amount of story told. So horny for this.

  13. What should I read next..."Double Indemnity" or "Body Heat"?

    1. specwriter

      specwriter

I'll say Body Heat because I actually read it in film school and it's a very solid script. (at least I thought so when I was 20.) I watched Double Indemnity last year and didn't think it measured up to Sunset Boulevard, but what does?
