  1. As a lover of "The Prestige," my immediate reaction is to hate Now You See Me.

      Oceans 11 meets Criss Angel?

Having loved the script, I'm really excited for the film. I loved Prestige as well, but they're two very different beasts.

I'd figure Lowlife would freak out a Prestige fan more than a Louis Leterrier film.

  2. Fan of The Wire and Breaking Bad?

  3. If Sam Jackson tells you to say the n-word, do you say it?

This is politcal correctness run amok. The interview embarrassed himself with his reponse. What a wuss.

I dunno, I probably would have refused, too. That soundbyte of you saying the n-word will live on context-free for eternity, right after it's played over and over on "Talk Soup." ;-)

  4. Old Empire Strikes Back docu found, this is fascinating:

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Off to check it out.

  5. Red Band Trailer for The Oranges looks great. Love the cast. Pissed I chose to read "Butter" over this.

  6. "I Love You, Man" the billboards scene analysis. Paul Rudd in a yellow speedo! http://tinyurl.com/3st4r7j

  7. "Seventh Son" looks like it cost $250 million based on the trailer, but it's opening in early January? Is WB dumping it because it's Legendary or is it just a turkey?

Originally was slated to open Oct. 2013, then pushed to Jan. 2014, and most recently shelved until Feb. 2015.

No and No. Very sad to see the bar lowered so much that mediocrity is seen as great.

THANK YOU, JIBLINGS! Dan has no idea what he was talking about! But, I heard The Americans is really good so I can't wait to see it.

Rubicon can't hold Carrie Mathison's jock! I mean, seriously, the pilot opens with these guys trying to unravel some kind of secret code found on the front pages of three major newspapers? Firstly, um, get back to your f*&king job because there's terrorists out there, and secondly, huh? If this was answered later in the season, the ponderous scenes and glacial pace made sure I had already checked out.

i can't take your opinions serious, Dan. YOu don't even like Homeland. BAH! lol! jokes...but to each his own. I dig them both. But, I'd take ANYTHING over The Kiling. Yuck

  11. Any chance of The Help ekeing in as Best Pic or is The Artist a lock?

  12. Any Kill Bill Vol. 2 fans out there? I finally got a chance to give my love for the great Setups and Payoffs in the film on my blog: http://tinyurl.com/3lqpms8

It's just a fantastic piece of writing. Everything is a setup that pays off later. Darabont picks us (and Andy Dufresne) up and then beats us back down, over and over, yet we don't see it coming because every beat is a surprise. Red's VO enhances so many scenes (especially the midpoint with Andy playing the opera over the prison p.a. system) rather than commenting on them or explaining them. Here's our detailed Story Map for whoever's interested: http://actfourscreenplays....

  14. Anyone else at the Fellowship of the Ring In Concert at the Honda Center on Saturday night? For LOTR fans, it's an amazing experience! I believe they're going to tour the next two films, as well.

  15. Anyone else feel cheated by Iron Man 3's "Extended Look?"

      more like extensive look.

  16. Anyone ever meet Steve Jobs or at least see him speak? What's his most important accomplishment to you?

      Elliott79

Without him, Pixar wouldn't exist as we currently know it.

      RIP Steve.

  17. Anyone have a reality TV bible? A friend needs one.

  18. Anyone know the status of Swingles? Still listed as in dev on imdbpro, with Zach Braff attached to direct. Great script.

  19. Anyone see Hugo? Sounds great

  20. Can't find the How I Met Your Father pilot that is supposedly in the File Exchange. Can someone please offer a link to it? Thanks.

  21. Catching up on some movies via screener. TED the movie is much better than the script. The performances of the hilarious cast improved upon the script, which felt like EVERY SINGLE JOKE was an 80s reference. Giovanni Ribisi, Sam Jones and of course the bear added so much.

      storymaps99

Joel McHale and Patrick Warburton, too. Especially Warburton, hilarious. :-) But I'm still baffled as to why it's the #1 R-rated comedy of all time.

A commenter mentioned that "Tranquility Base" was launched by the Tracking Board contest. Is that originally how Brooklyn found it?

    3. LeftyJones

      LeftyJones

Yeah BW was a judge for the contest here I'm pretty sure and plucked the script and got the sale before the contest was even finalized.

    4. ddollar

      ddollar

i've heard the script has been around for some time though - maybe it was just through the contest in which the interest was really finally piqued

  22. Christian Bale visited the victims in an Aurora hospital, unannounced and not on WB's behalf. The guy's a class act and I look forward to him getting back to smaller character roles.

    1. Hasmap

      Hasmap

Good on him. What great gesture and thing to do to go out of his way for them.

He's such a weirdo that it seems strangely more sincere than if an Anne Hathaway did it.

    3. Taragel

      Taragel

Or at least a class act when he's not reaming out some poor grip.

  23. Congrats to Nexxus, this month's "TB Recommends" script. Can we read it?
