That era of horror writers and famous figures has so fascinated contemporary writers that we keep seeing fictional stories starring these real-life personalities, e.g., Poe, Mary Shelley, Arthur Conan Doyle, Houdini, H.P. Lovecraft, etc. Then there's their fictional creations that keep getting thrown together into pop culture stews, a la The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or Van Helsing.
What is it about that group that so fascinates us, and more interestingly...can you see a group of artists/famous figures from the past 50 years being woven into fiction some day? Here's a concept, just spitballin' here...
A young Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak, Al Gore and Robert Evans team up in the mid-70s to fight an eco-monster that rises from the asphalt of Silicon Valley and grows in size with every microchip it consumes.
