For those of you who record a lot of shows, I'm just curious how you get extra tivo space.... I have two tivo boxes and I'm always having to erase shows to make space, which means erasing a lot of good shows I wish I could keep. Wondering if anyone else has that problem....

  2. Will the spec market ever be like the golden age of the 90s again? You used to see a sale every week, where big sales were common place. More projects were in development and a wider variety of projects, non-IP....

The actual money seems to be a lot less... a lot of the deals seem to be small money options.. or big sales reported might be x, y & z happened... versus those amazing big sales of the 90s.

Is the trend that things are getting better? Studios have been so conservative in the last few years...

  7. I'm contemplating a move to a Macbook after not finding a PC laptop I really like. I have a PC desktop, so the laptop will not be my primary machine. I'm looking for portability but need enough power for writing/surfing, maybe some Netfilx. I'd appreciate hearing users' thoughts on Macbook Airs and Pro retinas. Thanks!

My biggest gripe is with organization of the files and saving. I've asked every Mac expert and they have all told me that soeme of those features just not available with Macs. Like if you have 10 word documents and you want them to be linked in one document with many sccaded tabs instead of 10 separate tabs that take up space.

Yeah, I know about the shortcuts on Mac.... it's just that PC has a lot of those keys and other user friendly designs more available. Sometimes, I'm on the phone or doing something with my free hand and liked how PC made it so easy. I would switch to Macs because they are the future, but just be aware of some of the less user friendly aspects when deciding on the Macs. Next time, I will play around with each version and even spend more just to get one that's comfortable. I kin...

I switched to Macbook based on advice that they do not get viruses. I feel like PCs are more user friendly. I get annoyed at certain things that I got used to with PC's and noticed that Mac didn't think of. In my version (and I bought one of the higher end versions), there's no page up/down key... and organizing your files seem easier on PC. Macbooks are less susceptible to viruses though.

  12. Hmm, Write2Reel went to a "paid site" status yesterday. ($60.00 a year) How many of you frequent this "little brother" to the Tracking Board? For the most part, TB kicks ass over it in all areas, but lately some gems have popped up via someone scanning in hard to find scripts. I think I'll pass on paying for their weak service. Any thoughts?

So everybody has to pay $60 now? even long time members that added scripts?

It's not worth it. They really do not really have most of the in demand scripts. Occasionally, you see one that might be interesting...but you should check your storage because sometimes you already have it, but don't realize it.
