  1. Little rant -- apropos of nothing... but what's the deal with websites that just offer 'Movie Transcripts'

That drives me nuts. Also when you google a script and then it takes you to a website that has like 10 links that claim to have the script and none of them work. Scripts-onscreen is the worst offender

Honestly, I find them useful at times. Like if I have a scanned PDF that I can't control+F on and want to study a particular scene real quick but can't remember it's placement in the script, sometimes I'll use Springfield scripts to help point me in the right direction. It can also be useful to compare to the actual script sometimes and you see how much dialogue ends up being cut from the finished product. But for sure, I get your point. A lot of weird stuff on the interwebs

Very nice! Is it something you've tried adapting for screen? It's worked for a lot of other people.

Thanks. I read Jihotties and was impressed cause it was so ballsy. I saw Hereditary but didn't love it (mainly cause of the 2nd half), although it had one of the most horrifying scenes of any movie this year.

  9. Hey Hive Mind. I'm doing some research and I'm looking for your favorite movies where two or more lovable lugs go on the run from the mob, the government, other baddies after they either a) unknowingly fuck something up B) get embroiled in a plot unwittingly or c) steal from said bad guys or government... What are some of your favorite "on the run" movies? Thanks--MP

I'm actually a pretty big fan of 2 Guns. Also: Central Intelligence. 48 Hours is another good buddy comedy. The Nice Guys. Not all of these are entirely on the run, I suppose, though

I think if you check out the first draft of "Bridesmaids" to what it ended up - it's a huge difference. I think I read somewhere they wrote the first draft in a couple of days cause Judd wanted to meet with them (I also could be way off here on that)

He's becoming one of those guys who I smile every time I see him in a movie. And I'm starting to get really impressed with John Cena. He goes all in and his willing to try anything. After him and The Rock, I imagine there'll be a few more movie stars that come from the WWE

That's a bummer. Does this mean I should maybe download a bunch of scripts now before the forum disappears on us?

I hadn't heard much either up until recently. I just saw multiple good reviews, and then saw it was from Lone Scherfig ("An Education"). But I didn't even know it was about filmmaking. A really nice surprise. I love going in blind.
