I know it's just a teaser, but that JOY trailer is unrecognizable as the excellent script I read. Since when does she fire a gun?? I hope David O. Russell didn't just throw away all of Annie Mumolo's work

The script was great and it's sad to see Annie Mumolo only got a shared "story by" credit.
Thus said, the trailer did look very exciting. You still recognize the original beats but there seems to be a whole new fantasy/imagination aspect to it which will be interesting to see how that plays out and how they'll balance it.
