  1. Fast growing Production Company located on the lot, with a publishing deal, comic book deal, and a games division is seeking READERS. Position does not need to be LA based, but is preferred as Readers will meet bi-weekly in our LA offices with creative and development execs to discuss projects. Prefer experienced readers, but willing to work with those with an eagerness to learn, strong sample coverage, and the ability to read a MINIMUM of two scripts a week. Readers will be covering scripts, books, comics, and more. Position is unpaid, but offers great experience and opportunity with veteran producers, and could potentially lead to growth within. To apply for the position please send an email to [email protected] with the subject heading "READER - Your Name" and at least two samples of your previous coverage.
  2. Is anyone actually excited to see "Green Lantern" this weekend? I mean, beside Ryan Reynolds, that is.

      It's a complicated case. A lot of in's. A lot of outs. A lot of what-have-you's.

  3. Sooooo, who else is hitting up midnight Super 8 tonight?

Mint is right. Good mix of yesteryear and tomorrow.

I thought it was terrible. Someone doing a lazy retread of Spielberg (who I love) 30 years later is not worth theatrical release. It was blatantly manipulative and cynical, and all it did was remind me of better films.

      Other than that though...

  4. Wow, so is anyone NOT going out with a spec this week?

Seriously. I was thinking the same thing. Now, if only the wallets would open just a little bit...

There are literally 16 new specs in 3 days. Thats insane. There were only like 25 all last month.

Why is the development for these done so much differently than features?

  6. Added the Dec.2010 draft of WWZ. I believe it's still by J.Michael.

The pdf properties list the script as being by Matthew Carnahan and the draft being a budget draft.

Bummer. I just lost all love for this project. The script is lacking in comparison. Horribly.

I believe it is Carnahan's draft, revised from J. Michaels - JJ is correct.
